Orcas Island Residence

A home shaped by the forest, the slope, and the sea.

Set into a wooded waterfront site on Orcas Island, the house steps with the terrain while extending outward toward the view. Layers of glass, wood, steel, and concrete create a dialogue between openness and shelter, precision and nature.

Deep roof planes gather the home beneath the tree canopy. Terraces carry daily life outdoors. At the water’s edge, a glass-wrapped living space projects into the landscape, offering the feeling of being suspended between forest and sea.
